In the Classroom

This week in Grade 5/6, we have been focusing on improving our skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The goal has been to solve these types of problems accurately while using different strategies to check our work. We’ve been practicing addition and subtraction to ensure we get the right answers, and also working on multiplication and division to build our confidence. A key part of our learning has been using mental math strategies to quickly spot and correct any mistakes. Students have been actively supporting one another by sharing helpful tips and techniques, which has made the learning process even more effective. It’s been great to see everyone collaborating and learning from each other. By the end of the week, we will be more confident and efficient in solving a variety of math problems.

In the Community

Grade 5/6 students took part in a town walk this week, picking up rubbish as part of the annual Clean Up Australia Day.
