Year 12 Retreat

On Tuesday 11 February, Year 12 students ventured to Foothills Conference Centre for a retreat day. Students had the opportunity to hear from a range of speakers and engage in activities to motivate and unite them as a year level. The morning began with an address by Mike Rolls, who encouraged the students with his inspiring story. Mike spoke of the importance of resilience as the students experience the year ahead and step out into life beyond school.
Students were further inspired by a visit from panel of high achieving students from the Class of 2024, who answered questions and shared their experiences and wisdom. The panellists shared study techniques, gave stress management tips, and encouraged the new Year 12 cohort to do their best and make the most of the opportunities they will have this year.
Finally, the day concluded with an afternoon of mentally and physically challenging activities in a closely fought team-building competition led by our House Captains. Congratulations to the Zion Crusaders (Blue House) team who took out the victory on the day!
We are delighted to commence the year with the Class of 2025 and look forward to all that they will achieve this year, in their academic pursuits and in their service to one another and the wider school community.
