PFA News:

ASHBURTON FESTIVAL

What a fantastic event!  The St Michael's Great Cake Stall was buzzing all day.  Despite the heavy mid-afternoon downpour and the heat, we completely sold out of all the delicious baked goods and the lolly bags.  We made 950 snow cones - a new record!

Thank you to:

  • Louise Story who organised our Foodtrader account at the very last minute last December, when she would most probably have preferred to have been on holidays!!
  • Therese Molnar who acted as our liaison with Boroondara Council and the Ashburton Fair Organisers
  • Everyone who so generously baked, wrapped and delivered the dazzling selection of baked goods
  • Monica Porta for opening her home for the Saturday drop off and to Cheryl Tan for assisting her in pricing everything
  • Amanda Tran for making the stickers for our lolly bags and to the many parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and carers who assisted us in putting the labels onto the lolly bags at assembly last Friday
  • Kathy Mullechner and Louise Story for printing all the cake kit instructions and posters and keeping tabs on all the syrup and stationery deliveries
  • Stephen Molnar for devising our new marquee weights (a last minute council request)
  • Paul and Kasey Klooster for the use of their refrigerator on Sunday at Ashburton Meats
  • Sash Petrovski, Jo Adam, Amanda Tran, Peter Betros, Nora Vu, Monica Porta,  Evelyn Natalia,  Natalie Cheeseman,  Primrose Kastelan, Anna Schmerl, Fiona Zeine, Jyoti Francis, Lyly Greca, Rob Greca, Julia Dickson, Beatriz Minari, Alex Pradun, Ness Wood, Ying Thammatorn and Therese Molnar for assisting on the day to set up, serve, make snow cones and pack up and to their families who made it possible for them to participate

And above all enormous thanks to our coordinators - Simone Garrard, Loz Prior and Jane Potter for pulling everything together - a mammoth task at the start of the year!

The final amount raised will be announced in next week's newsletter

PANCAKES AND PLAY - Tuesday March 4 from 3.15pm in the Biggee

Next Tuesday is Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday, when traditionally pancakes are eaten.... consumed ....inhaled.... devoured!

Due to School Photos being on the same day, we will offer Pancakes from 3.15pm in the biggee, so no-one has maple syrup dripped down their clean school uniform in their photos!

The PFA will be providing free pancakes in the biggee from 3.15pm  Thanks in advance to the Tuesday Tennis Parents who have generously offered to assist with cooking and serving pancakes. Everyone is most welcome to stop by for a yummy after school snack and a play in the Biggee. Hope to see you there!  Please note we are unfortunately unable to cater for gluten free / special dietary requirements at this event.
