Learning this week:
For Word Study in Week 3, Year 3’s will be learning about the ‘tch’ spelling. Year 4’s will be learning about the ‘nch’ spelling.

In Reader’s and Writer’s workshop we will be:
Creating the reading community and Spotlight on ‘What is a good reader/writer?..’
Setting up expectations in the reading and writing community
Idea generation
Setting up ideas, quick writes and tool kit in writer’s notebook
Mathematics: We will continue looking at mental computation strategies, focusing on subtraction and multiplication through games. We will represent and interpret our class survey data in different ways.
Unit of Inquiry: We turn our focus to “How the world works”, with a focus on investigations. We will finalize our Class Essential Agreements.
Reminders:
iPads are to remain at home until the ICT agreement has been discussed and signed. Parent iPad and ICT information sessions will be held (Tues 3.15, 11th February, Wednesday 9.00 and 7.00, 12th February)
Week 4, Tuesday 18th February, 3/4 Art excursion to Botanical garden and Jam Factory in Adelaide CBD. The consent form has been sent via TASS Parent Lounge, via the events and payments section. Please give consent by Friday 14th Feb.
