PINKY PROMISES

This week, our Foundation students had thoughtful discussions about classroom expectations and the importance of making good choices. To show their commitment, they made heartfelt pinky promises to be kind, respectful, and responsible learners. What a wonderful way to start the school year with teamwork and positivity! 🤝✨

🎨🎶 SPECIALISTS ⚽🌍🧪

Our Foundation students had an exciting start to their specialist classes this week! They unleashed their creativity in Art with Mrs. Maskell, explored rhythm and melody in Music with Mrs. Keep, got active and moving in PE with Mrs. Wilkinson, discovered Mandarin language in LOTE with Mr. Kho, and engaged in hands-on learning in STEM with Mrs. Wallis. It’s been a fantastic week of new experiences, and we can’t wait to see their skills and confidence grow in each of these subjects!

FIRST DAY JITTERS INCURSION

Starting school is an exciting milestone, but it can also come with a few nerves! To help our Foundation students settle into their new routine, they recently participated in an engaging and interactive ‘First Day Jitters’ incursion, presented by The Drama Toolbox.

Through creative storytelling and role-playing, students followed the journey of Seal, the new kid at Wild Primary. Seal wanted to make friends, but things didn’t go quite as planned—until some kind turtles stepped in to help her learn how to communicate, work, and play together with others. 🦭🐢

This hands-on workshop provided our Foundation students with valuable coping strategies for managing emotions, making new friends, and feeling more confident in their new school environment. It was wonderful to see our students embracing the experience, learning through drama, and growing in confidence as they navigate the exciting transition into school life.
