Out Of Uniform Day

Out of Uniform Day – Term 1

The Out of Uniform Day on Tuesday 4th March 2025, will be used to raise funds to support:

VICSES – VICTORIAN STATE EMERGENCY SERVICE - South Barwon Unit**

We are excited to announce that our first Out-of-Uniform day for this year has been organised and all proceeds will be donated to a vital service that we all depend on: the State Emergency Service (SES).

The South Barwon SES Unit has been serving the communities of Belmont, Highton, Grovedale, Waurn Ponds, Barwon Heads, and Armstrong Creek since 1977.

As the control agency for floods, storms, landslides, earthquakes, and tsunamis, the SES also provides Victoria's largest road crash rescue network and assists with search and rescue operations. Since its inception in 1950, the SES has relied on the dedication of volunteers who selflessly serve our communities. Essential equipment, training, resources, and administrative needs are funded through the support of grants and community donations to ensure effective service delivery.

The South Barwon Unit includes Belmont High School Alumni among its volunteers, with several students having family members currently serving as operational volunteers.

So, if you or your loved ones ever need emergency assistance during storms and floods, call the SES on 132 500. Thank you for your support in making a difference! Let's come together to show our appreciation for the incredible work the SES does for all of us.

Students are asked to bring a Gold Coin Donation and wear neat casual clothes on Tuesday 4th March in order to support one of our local organisations that supports our community.
