Shine the Light

Year 1 Blue
The Year 1 Blue students signed their class agreement to follow their classroom rules, so that their classroom is a happy and safe place where everyone can learn.
Year 3
To mark the beginning of the new school year, the Year 3’s spent time writing a personal goal for the year ahead. This activity encouraged them to think about what they hope to achieve and how they can grow as learners. It also connected to our school motto, Respice Stellam (Reach for the Stars) which reminds us that setting goals helps guide our journey forward.
Year 4 Blue
Year 4 Blue has settled into the year beautifully and are already filling each other’s cups. Students have written messages to themselves highlighting what they are proud of and have extended their kind words to one another through yellow hearts.
Year 5 Blue
Keeping the theme of the self-potraits constructed by the staff, the students in Year 5 Blue also created self-potraits to display in their classroom! Some budding artists!
Year 5 White
5 White has been investigating and reflecting on character strengths. Here are our top strengths! They also liked the staff portraits in the corridor and welcome message and created their own!
Year 6 White
In Year 6 White, the student are examining the school theme: Never see a need without trying to do something about it. They have researched the recent winners and nominees of the 2026 Australian of the Year Award to find Australians who saw a need and did something about it. A popular choice was Young Australian of the Year, Nedd Brockmann who has raised millions and awareness regarding homelessness. These are a selection of the posters presented on the Award Finalists.

Visual Art
Attention Families and Happy Recyclers,
To facilitate a community art project, we are in need of clear plastic drink bottles.
250ml, 500ml, 1 litre and 2 litre bottles will be gladly accepted. It would be preferabe if these are rinsed and with the label removed. Lids on the bottles are also welcome. The more the better!
There is a plastic basket in front of the Art Room to deposit your bottles.
If the vision works, it will be spectacular. Fingers crossed.
