We love students bringing their amazing work up to the office and this week it is a story written by Samuel from 34A.

The Daring Heist

“Crash” a scream echoed down the dark alleyway where Max lived in.  He shivered, sending a wave of cold blood running through his body.  He’d lived there for a week now after his mum’s car crashed while driving to see his grandma.  He had a graze on his knee from a tire that had broken off when the car crashed.  He’d been getting food scraps from a restaurant across the road, and he discovered a secret door to the kitchen and he’d run in and steal 7 loaves of garlic bread, then run out back to his newspaper bed and stuff his mouth.

The last time he saw his mum she was on a stretcher.  He had a pet cat named Doggy.  Doggy was a stray cat.  He was pretty big (1.5 meters).  Doggy as kind and playful.  Max liked calling him the big, friendly giant.  Max had made one friend and that was Doggy.  “I wish I had a real friend” thought Max until one day he made another friend Dilan.  He was 8. They shared stories.  One day they decided to pull a heist at a jewellery store. There was a lot of planning involved.  It went like this.  So Dilan would go in and have a look and Doggy would climb up the security camera and dig claws into it .  The camera would break and the person working in the shop would go and check and hopefully leave their keys at the desk.  Dilan would then open the glass cupboards and run away with the loot.

They woke up on the day of the heist.  They walked into the shop.  “Okay, so remember the plan” asked Max. “Yep” replied Dilan.  So doggy climbed up and broke the security camera while Dilan was having a pretend a pretend look.  The shop lady did leave her keys on the desk and went to check the camera.  Dilan got the keys but dropped them and started fumbling and the shop lady spotted Dilan and called the police.  Max saw Dilan in the back of the police truck and Max wondered what went wrong.
