Meet the Leadership Team

Hi, I’m Alice and this is my 11th year teaching at BNW!

This year I’m wearing three hats (golly gosh!)  On Mondays and Tuesdays, I’m the Acting Maths Specialist, supporting teachers with all things maths from lesson design and assessment to activity ideas. On these days I am also the middles learning community leader. On Wednesdays, I teach in the middles in Unit MTA.

You might also spot my whippet Elkie at school from time to time. She’s 10 years old, and definitely more cat than dog!

Outside of school, I love spending time with my daughter Zeldie- usually at the op shop buying far too many picture books, heading to the pool followed by a babycino (for Zeldie, not me!), or going for a walk with our dogs and Tom.

Hi everyone

My name is Lilly and I am the Disability Inclusion Leader at BNW.

This is my third year at BNW and I love the great community vibe that the school has, as well as the amazing staff and the huge outdoor spaces.

I live near a creek so am often walking there with my 5 year old Alfie. I love reading, racing to make a class at the gym after work, and swimming at the beach.

If you see me at school come and say hi, I am always up for a chat!

Hello! I’m Emma and I am the acting Assistant Principal at BNW. After working as a classroom teacher, Literacy Leader and Disability Inclusion Leader, I stepped into this role last year and have loved working alongside Keir to lead our amazing community. I do miss being in the classroom with the students, so I try to drop in and visit them as often as I can!

Outside of school I’m kept very busy by my two sons, Jack and Charlie, and our puppy, Shelley. I love reading (although I never get enough time for this!), going to the beach and eating yummy food.

If there’s anything that I can help you with, please feel free to get in touch. My email is emma.mallia@education.vic.gov.au.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Keir Jasper and I am the Principal of Brunswick North West Primary School.

I have worked at the school for six years. Four years as the assistant Principal, one year as the Acting Principal, and now my journey as the Principal has begun (I’m very excited about that!) I have worked in leadership in many different schools around Victoria, and I have taught many different year levels (including 11 straight years of Foundation!)  I have a passion for Play, Inquiry Literacy, Early Childhood Pedagogy and the Performing Arts.

In my spare time I am a ballet and contemporary dance teacher and choreographer and I am the very proud father of Gus the Pug (Gus is short for Augustus Gloop because he loves food so much!)
