Leadership Report

Term 1, Week 1 

Dear families,

It is wonderful that school has resumed for another year. I warmly welcome all 2026 Prep families, new families to our school from other year levels and of course our returning families.

We have had a fantastic start to the year. Our students have settled in well and have adjusted to the new ‘soft start’ time, break times and dismissal very well.

I would also like to welcome and introduce the following new staff to our school, all of whom you will meet in due course and will be ‘spotlighted’ in our next newsletter in week 3. Please join me in welcoming Mrs Corrina Jones (year 1), Mr Jacob Lloyd (year 2), Mrs Alicia McPherson (year 2), (Mr Callum Jackson (year 2), Ms Alexandra Cook (year 4) and Ms Emily Cunningham (year 5). We also welcome back Mrs Tania Brown (year Prep) and Mrs Katherine Richards (year 1).

For the remainder of this year, newsletters will be published on Monday afternoons on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th (sometimes 11th) weeks of each term and assemblies will be held on the following alternate Monday afternoons from 2.30pm in our school gym.

Curriculum days will be held on the following:

• Monday 20 April

• Monday 13 July

• Monday 5 October 

• Monday 2 November

In the next newsletter (week 3) we will provide information on our parent information sessions. These sessions will be grouped Prep – Grade 2 and Grade 3 – 6.  The topics being shared at these sessions will be on the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 (VTLM 2.0) and Positive Classroom Management Strategies (PCMS).  

We will also share information and times for our Term 1, parent teacher meet and greet sessions in our next newsletter. These meet and greets will be for years 1-6, as Preps have already had their meetings at the end of 2025.
