School Fete

It’s only 2 sleeps until our fete - we’re super excited and know that the children are too! Thank you to everyone who has contributed in some way so far and thanking you in advance for your support on the day. This is a huge event for our school, so it’s all helped.
Here is some important information for you:
The gates to the school will open at 11am and not before. If you arrive early, please can we ask for you to wait outside the grounds whilst our volunteers finish preparing for the fete.
You can only use tokens to spend at the fete school stalls. This means the only place you can use cash/ card is on the token stalls, at the community market (as this is external to the school), coffee van (this is being run by Team Kids) and on the Bake Sale to purchase the school Cookbook. Everywhere else is tokens and wristbands.
You can exchange cash/ card for tokens at any of our 3 ticket stalls. 1 token = $1.
Rides can be paid for by 8 tokens per ride or you can purchase a wristband. Adults will need a ticket or wristband to ride with children.
Children who are volunteering on the stall need to know what time they are scheduled on so please can you support them in this area.
In line with our school policy, there are to be no dogs on the school grounds.
Our amusement rides are run by a separate company, so please be respectful of their decisions regarding heights, age and weather. These are the professionals.
We will have some water available for sale, however we have a City West Water tank available should you wish to bring your own water bottles.
There are maps and entertainment lists available around the school grounds.
There are baby changing facilities in the toilets near the canteen.
Please ensure you bring sunscreen and a hat if you need it.
Please be respectful of our neighbours, their driveways and how you park - it’s going to be busy.
And lastly, please bring your smiles - it’s going to be a wonderful community event.
Volunteering:
We know you must be sick of us by now, but we’re giving one last final push for volunteers - there are still a fair few gaps that we just can’t cover. We may have to close some stalls during these gap times if we can’t fill them.
If you do volunteer, make sure you sign up for one of the briefing sessions too - everyone who is volunteering must attend a session .
Volunteer briefings:
Thursday 27th March at 8pm online
Use this link and enter the room number 57576227 to join. It should only take half hour.
Friday 28th March at 2.15pm in the staffroom
This will be an in-person presentation.
Anyone who is volunteering on Saturday morning and is staying for the day, please park in the staff car park. Anyone else who is just there for the morning please park on the road as the car park is closing at 10am.
Saturday morning people - meet in the gym for a 7.30 chat with a pastry and coffee to collect ourselves and start getting everything ready.
Thank you everyone for making this possible.
Wristbands and showbags:
Pre-purchased wristbands and tokens will be distributed to the eldest child via their grade on Friday afternoon. Those absent on Friday can collect from the Showbag pre-sale stall on Saturday.
All Showbags can be collected from the pre-sale stall on Saturday.
