HOPE:

The Power of Hope Part 4: Staying in the Game Until Your Time Comes
Not every student shines straight away. Not every child finds their strength in reading, writing, or sports. Some take longer to find their place, and that's okay.
What matters is that we help them stay in the game.
Staying in the game means not giving up on yourself just because you haven't had your big breakthrough yet. It means trusting that your moment will come, even if it's not today.
At Western Heights, we've seen incredible transformations in students who were once quiet, unsure, or struggling. We've seen children go from hesitant readers to confident presenters. We've seen kids who once avoided challenges now running school events. What made the difference?
They stayed in the game.
They were surrounded by people, teachers, peers, and whanau who believed in them.
Hope gives our tamariki the patience to keep going when things take time. It tells them, Your moment is still ahead. Keep turning up. Keep learning. Keep believing.
In sport, in learning, in life, it's not always the fastest who win. Sometimes it's those who simply refuse to leave the field.
