Ms Laura & Ms Terri

Welcome back to Term 2!

We hope that you all had a wonderful, relaxing break and Easter.

It has been great to see so many enthusiastic students returning this week,

full of energy and ready to learn.

We are looking forward to lots of exciting learning activities this term, including our next Inquiry topic about sustainability.  The unit is called Raw to Ready and we will be finding out about the way different foods get from the farm to the shops. We will be learning about the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating and what food choices can help keep us healthy. We will talk about recycling and think about the different ways foods are packaged,

and whether we could change the designs to be more sustainable.

ANZAC Day

Tomorrow is ANZAC Day.

This day is commemorated to remember and honour all the Australian and New Zealand soldiers who served, particularly during the Gallipoli campaign of World War I, and all those who have served in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.

It's a day for us to reflect on their history, the sacrifices made, and the spirit of ANZAC that focuses on courage, mateship, and endurance.

Today we participated in a very special whole-school ANZAC Day service.

Our Senior School leaders, along with Mr Steve, will be attending

another special service at Beauty Park this afternoon.

Here are some of the poppies we made for our class display.

Easter Rotations

At the end of last term, we participated in a day of whole school rotational activities, learning about each of the important events throughout the Easter story.
