Choir Performance - Vasey RSL

RSL Choir Concert - by Allira, Seha & Vayarn
On Wednesday the 23rd of April, the Choir had an amazing visit with the residents at Vasey RSL. First we were welcomed by Anchal, and then we went inside and got ready to perform our three songs. After Ms. Lisa introduced us, we sang 'One Day', 'Spirit of the ANZACs', and 'Everything'. Everyone really enjoyed our concert!
After our singing, we did some word searches and ANZAC colouring sheets. We sat with the residents and did them together. We learned some really interesting things about the residents and their experiences. We had so much fun chatting with them.
We were very blessed to meet a World War II veteran named John, who was 102 years old! He could remember so much about the war, and he loved sharing his story, so we got to ask him lots of questions.
Our favourite things about the excursion were:
- Allira (Grade 6) - Hanging out with the residents and listening to the amazing stories, and getting to know them.
- Seha (Grade 6) - Watching them smile when we were singing and enjoying our performance.
- Vayarn (Grade 2) - Singing and dancing in the choir.
