Principal's Message

Mrs Kaileen Carr

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Amelia Garner, who will be relieving as the Kindergarten Assistant Principal for Term 2. This means we will have a few staffing changes. In Term 2, Amelia Garner will be teaching KB and Maddison Lomer, who has been teaching KB, will be teaching 1G. Please contact me if you have any concerns.

We have had some students who catch the bus to school in the mornings heading to the coffee shop for hot chocolate. As part of the school's duty of care, it is important that when students get off the school bus, they come directly into the school and do not go to the coffee shop. Your children are the responsibility of the school once they leave home on the bus.

Amanda Lewis has resigned from her position as Canteen Supervisor. Amanda's last day will be Friday 23 May. Amanda has worked as our canteen supervisor for the past 12 years, and we will miss her. The P&C will be advertising the position shortly through our school newsletter.

Wow!! Congratulations to everyone. Our school attendance rate is currently 93.3% for Term 1. This is above the DoE State and Bathurst Network and an increase on our 2024 attendance at the same time last year. 79.5% of students attended at or above 90%, 9.5% of students attended 85-90% and 11% attended below 85%, which are all above DoE State and Bathurst Network. This is incredible, and everyone should be extremely proud. Keep up the great work.

Congratulations to Ryan Leydecker on being selected for the Western Primary Boys Basketball Team. Ryan will attend the PSSA Boys Basketball Championships in Minto from 13 May to 15 May in Term 2.

Congratulations to Billy Healey, who will travel to Dubbo to trial for the WSSA Primary Boys Touch Football on 23 June.

Good luck to Millie George and Phoebe Hemming, who are trialling for WSSA Primary Netball on Friday 4th April.
