KITCHEN AND GARDEN PROGRAM FOR 2025!

Garden

Seed saving is a great way to not only save money when trying to grow a garden, it also helps regrow successful crops. Our year 4 students spent the day saving all the seeds we had collected over the term and now we have a great store of seeds to plant out for the rest of the year.

We saved carrots, parsley, tomato, calendula, fennel, shallots, coriander

EASTER BUNNY BUMS!!

The students were so excited to make yummy lemon and poppy seed shortbread cookies this fortnight and turning them into fun easter cookies. They all worked so well together and produced some beautiful biscuits.

We have some for sale at the office so if you would like a special treat or a gift for a friend, please pop past and see the ladies at the office. The Easter Bunny Butt cookies are only $2 and bags of shortbread only $3.

We also have bottles of home made lomon cordial that is incredibly delicious and makes a super cheap gift for anyone who likes a refreshing lemonade

Each fortnight we will endeavor to share you heaps of great action shots of your children and we will also share our recipes so that you can make them at home.

Please keep checking our page for more updates about the kitchen and garden program and all things sustainability.

SURFSIDE SNACK SHACK

Decadent Chocolate Hedgehog Slice & Peppermint Slice

Our Snack Shackers whipped up hedgehog and peppermint slice this fornight. They have continued to develop their leadership and money handling skills. It is always all hands on deck and its great to see everyone putching in to do the dishes and tidy up after all the fun is over.

Thanks to everyone for supporting this valuable program. Students gain so much confidence and skills while contributing a, enjoyable treat for their school friends.

We would love some parent helpers to work with us on this program. If you are interested in helping with this program then please let us know. We would love to get a Parent Support team up and running for 2025.

We are seeking any donations of slice tins, especially extra large trays that are good for a douple recipe. We also need a couple of extra large mixing bowls. If you have any spares in the cupboard we would love to take them off your hands.

Thanks

Clancey and Georgie
