Mr Peter Serone
Year 7 students will be receiving their HPV vaccination this Friday 10 November. The vaccination program has two vaccinations, the first being dTpa which was administered earlier this year on Thursday 27 April.
Parent consent to participate in the vaccination program was given at the beginning of the year. Of course, if you chose not to participate in the program and did not provide consent, vaccinations will not be administered.
If your circumstances have changed or if your has received the second vaccination privately, please contact Student Admin (studentadmin@marash.qld.edu.au).
Years 10 and 11 students will be entering exam block from next Tuesday 14 November. Students are reminded that normal College rules apply. Students must arrive at school in full school uniform (including formal hat) and sign in and out using QR Codes. Students must travel directly to and from school and not congregate in public spaces (ie. shops, parks, other schools etc). Mobile phones are only to be used for check in/check out and must otherwise be kept in their student’s locker.
An email will be sent to Years 11 and 10 later in the week with further details regarding Year 12 graduation day on Friday 17 November.
Secondary students are to keep their mobile phones in their lockers during school hours. Primary students should put their phones in their lockers as soon as they arrive at school. Should you need to get an urgent message to your son, please phone Student Admin on 07 3858 6437 or Primary Reception 07 3858 4554. Phones are available in Student Admin and Primary Reception for students to use.
Students have been reminded that using their mobile phones to video students or staff members is not permitted. Students risk severe consequences for filming. Please have a conversation with your son/s regarding the ramifications of this type of behaviour.
As we are reaching the end of the school year, students must ensure that haircuts comply (please refer to page 21 of the student diary). The current style of haircut being shaved in and around the ears does not meet college standards. Students must also come to school each day clean shaven.
