Media and Technologies

Mr Adam Horne

Greetings Karoo Primary School Community,

I hope you are still buzzing with the excitement (as I know I am) from our recent Media and Digital Technology Showcase! The afternoon of Wednesday 8th November, was nothing short of spectacular as our talented students stole the spotlight with their incredible creations.

As the Media and Digital Technology teacher, I am bursting with pride at the amazing work that adorned our showcase. It was truly a testament to the creativity and dedication of our students who have immersed themselves in the world of media throughout the year. The quality and innovation showcased were beyond my expectations, and I am immensely proud of each and every student who contributed.

The atmosphere was electric as parents, teachers, and students alike revelled in the interactive delights the showcase had to offer. Our blue screen corner transported participants to far-off lands and imaginary worlds, showcasing the limitless possibilities that technology offers. The photobooth, with its array of props and green screen technology, captured the joyous moments of the afternoon and I will be making those photos available soon!

One of the highlights of the event was the coding corner, where our budding programmers demonstrated their skills with enthusiasm while showing off the newest technology which has arrived at Karoo to start building our students skills! It was heartening to see the curiosity and passion in their eyes as they navigated the intricacies of coding. The future of digital innovation looks bright indeed with these young minds at the helm.

The imperfect weather did little to dampen the spirits of our resilient community. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who braved the elements to join us on this special day. Your presence and support spoke volumes, and I was overwhelmed by the fantastic and positive feedback we received from the community.

The Media and Digital Technology showcase was more than just an event; it was a celebration of learning, creativity, and the incredible journey our students have undertaken in their first year of Media at Karoo Primary School. I am confident that this is just the beginning, and I look forward to witnessing the continued growth and innovation of our students in the years to come.

Once again, thank you to everyone who made this showcase a resounding success. Your enthusiasm and support are what make our school community truly exceptional.

Tech-tastically yours,

Mr Horne
