Learning and Teaching in 5/6G

In Week 10 of Term 3 the students had the wonderful joy of participating in the School Concert and it has become one of our favourite highlights of Semester 2!

The students worked hard throughout last term to make sure their dance was ready, and all their effort paid off when they shined on stage. 

Below are some reflections from the students of 5/6G:

What was your favourite part of the concert and why?

Dancing on the night because it was really fun and we were all so energetic

When the teachers did a surprise teacher dance because it was funny

I loved the teacher's dance the best because it was so funny and I loved watching them all dance and it was just amazing! I also loved our dance while we were performing because it was so much fun, even though it was a little nerve racking, I loved how the audience were clapping for all of us and cheering.

My favourite part of the school concert was all the dances and how energetic everyone was. It was really fun because people really made it fun and exciting. I also love how the teachers did a dance because all of it surprised me, and it is really fun how the teachers contributed.

Did you notice anything special or unique about the audience's reaction during the concert?

The audiences found a lot of our dances impressive and funny.

The audience would start to clap on beat when they knew the song and I could see that they were absolutely loving it.

What did you learn while preparing for the concert, both about music and teamwork?

I learned that teamwork makes the dreamwork because we were all showing teamwork in our dance and then it turned out so good.

While I was preparing for the concert I learnt about 90s Music like the Spice Girls and the Backstreet Boys. I also learnt that Miss Greely is a great dancer and extremely passionate

I learnt about teamwork. Doing the dance with the whole class really taught me about teamwork because we had to learn it together and do the dance together.

Can you recall a moment during the concert that made you feel proud of yourself or your classmates?

When we were doing the Backstreet Boys dance.
