Superstars know how to keep themselves safe!

Students in Year 1 and 2 have been learning about way to keep themselves safe. To help your child manage an emergency situation or an uncomfortable situation they might find themselves in, please spend some time working with your child to:

  • learn your phone number, their home address and any emergency contact phone numbers
  • show them, and allow them time to practise accessing emergency calls on your mobile phone when it is locked
  • discuss when calling 000 is needed
  • recognise strange behaviour rather than just thinking about all strangers are dangerous
  • knowing the difference between good secrets and bad secrets
  • knowing which adults they can trust and go to for help, we call this their superhero team

Below are a few children's story books worth exploring with your child.

Feel free to come and chat about any of this with me on Mondays or Tuesday.

Kind regards,

Safa Chebbou
