The Sliming of Mrs Hodgson

For the school fun run DPS has set multiple goals to slime certain teachers. We’ve raised about $20,000 and that means we were able to slime Mrs. Hodgson! There were a few helpers to help with the sliming. Mrs. Rassias,  Hannah, Lucy, Hugo got to slime Mrs Hodgson and James looked after her towel!

It was a really fun way to acknowledge the people who have helped out and have contributed in the fun run! Now just a bit more money and Mr. Hogg is next!

Remembrance Day activities

Remembrance Day marks the date in 1918 when the First World War came to an end. It is officially observed at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month each year.

As Remembrance Day didn't fall on a school day this year, the senior students acknowledged this important day a day earlier by doing some different activities including making poppies that were placed in the garden bed. Mrs Vesdrevanis and the school captains spoke to the year 5/6 students about what the day means, and the significance of the poppy. There was some great sharing from the students who have family members that have served in the wars.
