This has certainly been a challenging term when it comes to weather and sport. Once again, we have had large periods of rain which have seen most games cancelled over the past weekend. Fingers crossed that as we return for Term 3 and are heading towards the warmer months, the rain stays away, and we can get the last three rounds of the Winter sport season in without interruption. For those teams that got to play their fixtures, congratulations for sticking out what can only be described as miserable conditions.
The Winter season continues for the first three weeks of Term 3, with Rounds 8-10 being played. Training will re-commence upon our return to school, Tuesday 23 July as per the schedule. All boys are expected to be prepared for Winter sport training and attend all their sessions.
Over the past few articles, I have given ideas on activities that the boys and hopefully their families could do daily to help improve their strength and create a balance in their overall musculature. I hope that you have found them enjoyable and beneficial. With the term break fast approaching, the three weeks holiday affords us an opportunity to not only continue to develop in this way, but to also build habits around activity. The aim over the holiday period is to perform the activities at the same time each day. Preferably in the morning, however, any time will do, as long as you are consistent. I hope that you find the challenge enjoyable, and if you are able to complete the three weeks, you may find that you have built a new habit and start to miss your workouts.
Wishing everyone a safe and relaxing term break. Take care.
