Co-curricular - Senior Sport

Term 2 - Week 9

Once again, a weekend heavily affected by the weather, many cancellations and only some students fortunate enough to play.

Football The First XI had a very strong win in what was a very successful day for SPC Football, winning all games that went ahead.

Rugby The majority of Rugby fixtures went ahead with a mixed bag of results and a lot to learn from. Tough day down at Chevalier College where SPC was unable to secure a win. St Gregory’s put forward many strong teams out at Campbelltown, well done to the 13A, 14A, 14C, 15A and Second XV who all secured strong wins.

Reminders for Term 3

  • A reminder that all boys attending fixtures whether they are playing or not should be in their SPC Supporter’s gear, including College tracksuit if cold.

  • On the rare occasion that a boy is unwell and cannot play, an email should be sent through to myself, Head or MIC of their sport and their coach. A medical certificate should be sent at the family’s earliest convenience.

  • Leave request must be provided to the Director of Co-Curricular, Mr Calavassy as early as possible.

  • On the rare occasion that altercations occur on the field, it must be left to the referee and coaches to resolve the situation - under no circumstances are parents/carers, benched player/s or anyone else, to get involved.

  • On 3 August Rugby fixtures will be played away at Bathurst, more information to come.

Thank you to all involved for a fantastic term of sport, enjoy a well-earned rest!
