Connecting to KPS Mural
We are excited to announce we are working in collaboration with a local indigenous artist, Merilyn Duff, and a wellbeing facilitator, Andrea Jackson, to create a mural that will wrap around the external walls of the art room. There will be student, staff and parent workshops to aid the collaboration process.
Twilight School
Twilight School was a great success with many parents and carers joining students for dinner and enjoying classroom activities. The majority of students stayed the full day and it was great to see.
Volunteering at KPS
We have started using a volunteer sign up app called Signup.com for volunteer opportunities happening at KPS. So far we have used it for the Twilight School Sausage Sizzle, Breakfast Club and Milo and Cookies. It has been great to see new faces becoming involved and popping their name on the rosters. For the roster system to work well we ask that you do put your name down if you are intending on volunteering. We will be trialling using this sign up sy
stem for excursion volunteers in the future. It is easy to use, you can make changes to volunteer booking at any time and you can also see who else has rostered on to help for that particular activity. You can find the sign up link on the Sentral App (opening page) under links in the bottom right hand corner.
Gardening Club
We aren’t using the volunteer app for gardening club. This runs Monday mornings after drop off and you are invited just to show up. It normally runs for and hour. Some of the tasks include mulching, weeding, planting and planning. It’s a great opportunity to meet new parents, enjoy the fresh air and garden!!
That’s it for this months meeting, thanks for reading,
Thanks
