Careers Corner

Term Two

  • Year 12 Individual Student Meetings - Post BCC intentions (continuing from Term 1)
  • Year 10 - 2024 Work Experience week (Monday 24th - Friday 28th June)

Work Experience - Optional

Due to the lack of interest, the optional work experience week will not be running in the third week of the mid year break.

Semester 2 - VCE Subject or Pathway Changes

If students are considering a change of VCE Subject (Unit 2 or 4) or a VCE/VCE-VM pathway change, now is the time to arrange a meeting with the Careers Coordinator, VCE Coordinator and VCE-VM Coordinator to discuss the request.   VCE Subjects will be starting the new unit in week 8, therefore students will need to submit their change ASAP in order to miss as little work as possible in the new unit.

VTAC - CourseSearch

VTAC CourseSearch is currently displaying the mid year intake course information.  Students can still access the 2024 intake course information by clicking on the CourseSearch archives hyperlink.  Full course information for 2025 intake will be published in July.

VTAC - Applications and SEAS

VTAC have released a list of webinars to support students through the registration and course and Special Entry Application Schemes (SEAS) application process.  I strongly encourage students and parents to attend these webinars as they can make the process much easier to navigate.

There is a new VTAC Application Portal for 2024, so it may be useful for past senior student’s parents to attend.

As introduced in 2023, all VTAC registrations now require a Unique Student Identification (USI) number.  If students have studied a VET course or undertaken accredited training courses during their time as a secondary student they will already be registered with a USI.  I have included links below both to apply for a new USI or to retrieve a USI. If you don’t already have a USI: Get a USI If you think you already have a USI but can’t remember: Find your USI
