Extra-Curricular at MAG
2024 Rock Band Concerts
Last week we witnessed 15 MAG rock bands take to the school hall stage, singing and playing their hearts out in an unbelievable display of talent, hard work, enthusiasm and passion. The concert was a great success with families left amazed and entertained by our music students.
A sincere thank you goes out to all of the student body involved in making the event happen, whether you were a performer, marshall, backstage hand, announcer or assistant on the day, your contributions are truly appreciated and valued.
Also, a big thank you to all of the families and staff for your support towards the day. Zech, Shane and Mr Hearn are very pleased and look forward to watching the music program continue to progress and grow at our school into 2025.
Although we have already reflected on a few key areas in which to improve our execution of the Rock Band Concert in 2025, your feedback is always welcome. If you would like to kindly share your ideas, feel free to do so via this Google Feedback Form.

Be sure to arrive on time to catch our very own Moama Anglican Grammar Jr Singers performing a few carols in their trademark style, full of joy and harmony!

Trent Eacott: Extra-Curricular Drums Tutor, 2025
Hi I'm Trent Eacott,
I’m thrilled to be joining the music tutorial program at Moama Anglican Grammar in 2025 to support the incredible Drumline, Rock Band, and percussion programs. With over 27 years of drumming experience, I’m passionate about helping students grow as musicians and achieve their goals.
I completed my Grade 6 ANZCA Drum Set qualification in 2001 under the amazing Kevin Kiely and have taught students of all ages, focusing on developing their technical skills, confidence, and musicality. I’ve also had the privilege of performing extensively, including leading a 7-piece Jazz/Soul band for 10 years, supporting local artists at the Winter Blues Festival and in cover bands.
My teaching philosophy is all about building a strong foundation in rudiments, timing, and reading, while fostering creativity and learning how to play any genre of music that supports students building a lifelong passion for drumming.
I look forward to inspiring the next generation of drummers.
