Multi-Purpose Stadium - Federal Funding Announcement
I am delighted to share some most exciting news with our school community regarding our Multi-Purpose Stadium Development.
The Australian Government has generously granted our school $2.5 million to help fund the construction of a state of the art Multi-Purpose Stadium. Stage 1 of the project includes 2 multi-sports courts, dance studios, toilets and change rooms and retractable seating for 1000 people.
Yesterday afternoon I took a call from the Senator Deborah O’Neill MP who congratulated our staff team and school community on all that has been done and achieved to date to prepare for the construction of our Stadium, acknowledging the collective contribution of all involved in this exciting project at Moama Anglican Grammar.
Our Multi-Purpose Stadium development is the largest capital project in our school’s history and will provide our community with access to an all-weather indoor facility for sport, physical education, music, dance, theatre performance, and community events and assemblies, adding to our already impressive buildings and grounds.
We are proud to be investing in our School’s facilities and creating future opportunities that will amplify the experience of our students, staff and families for generations to come.
The tender process for this exciting process is nearing completion, with submissions closing next week and construction scheduled to commence early in 2025.
I take this opportunity on behalf of our Board and School Executive Team to sincerely thank our School community for your continued support, particularly through our current Car raffle and donations received. The generosity of school families, staff and our community partners has been an important contributing factor to the success of the grant application.
Ongoing community support and involvement will greatly assist us to develop a facility that makes a significant difference to the daily experience of our current and future students.
We will keep you updated on the progress of the Multi-Purpose Stadium and look forward to celebrating progress milestones along the way.
Imagine the possibilities!
Kind regards
Mr Scott Downward
