Mastering Maths with BIDMAS: Solving Equations the Right Way!

In S3, students recently explored the concept of BIDMAS (Brackets, Indices, Division and Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction). Through hands-on activities and examples, they learned how to correctly order operations to ensure accurate results when solving complex equations. The students gained a deeper understanding of the importance of following this order and how it affects the outcome of calculations.

The students were enthusiastic about learning BIDMAS and enjoyed applying the rule to solve a variety of problems. They worked through exercises involving brackets, indices, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction, practising step-by-step to ensure they followed the correct sequence. This helped them become more confident in solving equations and reinforced their understanding of how different operations interact.
