OUR SCHOOL NEEDS YOU!

WHAT IS THE SAC?

Every Catholic primary school has a School Advisory Council (SAC). The SAC is made up of members of the school community who wish to provide advice to the school leaders about the operation of the school. No experience is necessary. If you are a member of our school community who would like to assist in making Resurrection School the best possible place for children and families to grow, learn and work together, then you are invited to join the SAC. There are details about the role of the SAC below and Expressions of Interest are invited.

The SAC will meet twice each term and membership is for 2 years.

Resurrection School Vision

At Resurrection School we live by Christian values within our Catholic tradition based on Jesus’ commandment to,

“Love one another as I have loved you”.

We strive to be a learning community that actively promotes knowledge, creativity, skills and reflection for life-long learning. We aim to provide engaging, differentiated and personalised learning experiences to nurture each individual as a global citizen.

We promote a culture that focuses on the well-being of all learners in a safe, nurturing environment and values authentic connections to the wider community.

The School Advisory Council provides an important connection between the school community, school leaders and parish. The members inform and advise the school leadership by offering support and sharing their wisdom, including:

  • Promoting the school’s vision, Catholic ethos and culture
  • Promoting faith formation
  • Supporting school policies
  • Giving advice about school improvement and the Master Plan
  • Discussing the annual school budget, resources and maintenance

The success of the Council’s work depends on the support of, and feedback from, the School Community.

SAC MEMBERS

The School Advisory Council invites you to contact any of its members with your contributions.

 THE WORK OF THE SAC

  • Act as a forum for discussion and advise the Principal on matters concerning education in the school
