Hello Families and Friends,

We’re absolutely buzzing with excitement to fill you in on all the fun and laughter we’ve been having here at TheirCare over the past couple of weeks! Can you believe the year is almost over? Time flies when you’re having a blast, and we’ve been making the most of every single moment!

Term 4, Week 5

Welcome to our ‘On The Farm’ trip! This week has been full of farmyard fun as the children dove into the exciting world of life on the farm! From a thrilling "work search" activity to crafting adorable farm animal emoji art, the creativity and enthusiasm were on full display. The children also had a blast with paint/colour-by-numbers, bringing their very own farm tractor to life on the page in front of them. 

On top of all the crafty goodness, sports games made a big splash! The children have shown a renewed interest in sports-based play, and it’s been so fun to watch them dive into games like Memory Tag and Run If. It’s been awesome to see the older children stepping up as leaders. With their energy and enthusiasm, they’ve been taking charge, leading games, and making sure everyone (yes, even the educators!) gets in on the fun.

With a perfect blend of creative crafts and high-energy sports, it’s clear that the farm theme has sparked something amazing in the kids. We’re beyond thrilled by their teamwork, creativity, and leadership this week—it’s been a barnyard blast!

Term 4, Week 6

Welcome to our “Mystical Monster” week! The children dived into some seriously spooky fun with activities like crafting their very own Monster Puppets, making wild and wacky Monster Collages, and designing adorable (or terrifying!) Monster Bookmarks. Their imaginations soared as they brought their monster designs to life, with some even creating personalised paper hats for their monsters that were covered in the TheirCare/School logo. They shared that this was the monsters ‘summer hats’ allowing them to engage in outdoor play!

Aside from all the monstrous creativity, there was a surprise twist—bookmark making turned out to be a huge hit! The children loved creating artwork they could actually use, adding a practical touch to their artistic creations. It’s so wonderful to see them find joy in combining creativity with everyday items! We are looking forward to seeing exactly what they make next!

And of course, we couldn’t forget the classic favourite—The Floor is Lava! The children had an absolute blast dodging the "lava" while laughing and leaping from spot to spot. With beautiful weather to top it all off, the week was filled with endless giggles, big smiles, and a whole lot of monster-sized fun!

January 2025 Holiday Program 

We’re beyond excited to announce that the January 2025 Holiday Program, Level Up, is NOW LIVE and ready for bookings! This program is going to be absolutely phenomenal, and we can’t wait to bring it to life for your children.

Over the course of three action-packed weeks, we’ll be embarking on SIX thrilling excursions, including visits to the MCG, Holey Moley, Movies, Laser Tag, Archery, and Archie Brothers—talk about an adventure! 

But that’s not all! We’ve also lined up a ton of fun-filled in-house days, with activities like Camp TheirCare, Ultimate Game Shows, Beary Cool, and the wildly creative Octopus Art Attack!

A quick reminder to families: All children starting school at St. Mary's Ascot Vale in 2025 are welcome to join us at TheirCare from January.

Sun Safety 

Being in Term 4, children must wear hats when engaging in outdoor play. Can I please ask parents and guardians that you remind your child to bring their hat over to TheirCare so that we can go outside and enjoy all the sun has to offer safely! If preferred we have a tub at the service, your child is welcome to bring a spare sun-safe hat that is named that they keep at the service and use throughout the Year! Sunscreen will be applied before going outside every day, if your child requires a particular sunscreen, please do not hesitate to let me know so that I can accommodate for this!

Booking/Cancellations

To ensure the safety and smooth operation of TheirCare, we kindly remind parents of the importance of managing bookings and cancellations for their children’s sessions. All bookings should be made through the FullyBooked platform.

If you need assistance with the booking process, please feel free to stop by the TheirCare room, and I will be happy to assist you.

Additionally, if your child is unwell or will be collected at the conclusion of the school day, please ensure you cancel their session through the FullyBooked application. If you are unable to access the app in a timely manner, you may contact me directly at 0487 011 573, and I can assist with cancelling the booking for you.
