From the Principal

Dear PVS Families,

This year has again been another big year for everyone at Pioneer Village School. From excursions and incursions to Sports Days and P&F initiatives, our students have been busy!

We have worked hard to ensure we met our obligations to the Western Australian Curriculum and are proud of the way in which we have addressed the Cross-Curriculum Priorities. For further information please see the following page in this newsletter.

In acknowledging the 2024 school year, I must congratulate our student leaders. These children have demonstrated growth, independence, commitment and community spirit, and most of all have been wonderful ambassadors for Pioneer Village School. This month the senior students went through a selection process for the 2025 School Captains and House positions of leadership. These students nominated themselves for a leadership position and presented high quality speeches – referencing their skills and experiences in planning, problem solving, conflict resolution, empathy, consideration for others, teamwork, as well as the PVS Values. The new Leadership Team was announced at the 2024 Awards Assembly and we congratulate all the worthy recipients.

We say goodbye at the end of this year to families leaving the school after their children graduate, and others that move on. Many thanks to these families for their contributions and commitment to Pioneer Village School. I am sure your children will carry many fond memories of their time here with them.

I’d like to thank the wonderful staff, our committed Board, and the dedicated P&F. Each day, it is a joy to be part of the Pioneer Village School community thanks to the dedication, commitment and effort they all put in to give our students every opportunity.

We wish Ms Pryce well as she heads off on Maternity Leave. In turn we look forward to welcoming new staff to our school. I am sure our community will ensure they feel welcome.

I wish everyone a safe and wonderful Summer Break and I look forward to welcoming everyone back in the New Year.

Warm regards,

Mrs Louise Lont
