VOCABULARY

Infer: using prior knowledge and text clues to make an educated guess about something about the text

Persuasive: something that aims to get you to believe or do something

Advertisements: something that gets the attention of an audience to promote a product or service

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Have your child watch an advertisement either on the TV or by looking up one on YouTube.

Have your child discuss the purpose of the advertisement.
