Premier’s Debating Challenge at Artarmon Public School

On Wednesday, select students travelled to Artarmon Public School to take part in the Premiers' debating challenge. Accompanied by Mr. Matthews 8 CPS students participated in an engaging and intellectually stimulating competition, showcasing their debating skills and critical thinking. The Chatswood Wizards (Year 6 team) took on the Artarmon Reds. Their topic was "that all schools in NSW should have a pet in the classroom." The Wizards won the toss and chose affirmative. The Bards (our Year 5 team) followed the Wizards, facing the Artarmon Blues. They were given the negative for their topic, "that homework should be banned at all primary schools." The event provided a fantastic opportunity for students to express their ideas, engage with peers, and develop their public speaking abilities. We are proud of their efforts and enthusiasm in representing our school.
