Sacred Heart's Got Talent

This week we enjoyed our annual Sacred Heart Talent Show, celebrating talents right across the school from Prep to Year 6 during our lunchtimes. We were spoiled for choice with singers, dancers, acting, magic tricks and acrobatics. Students have been rehearsing for weeks, guided by our wonderful Music teacher, Mr Coutts. It has been a special week where students got to share their hidden talents with a very excited and supportive audience. We even had a video entrant from Isla, who is curently travelling in Ireland. 

The year 6 Performimg Arts captains (Molly J, Archie C, Edward O, Jasmine, Olivia B and Olivia M) have been busy behind the scenes, collecting money, selling popcorn, being judges and MC's by introducing each act and cleaning up afterwards. They also helped to count the money, work out the winners and write the certificates. We raised a grand total of $609. The money raised will go towards our School production of SEUSSICAL JNR at the end of Term 3. Auditions will be in the coming weeks.

We would like to thank Mr Coutts for giving up his time to put this together and to all the staff that gave up their lunchtimes to support the students. Winners will be announced in assembly next Friday and each student who participated will get a participation certificate and chocolate frog in class next week.
