Year 5 Highlight

The Year 5 students have been diving into the world of geometry by focusing on 3D shapes in their recent math lessons. From cubes and cones to pyramids and prisms, the classroom has been buzzing with creativity and hands-on learning. Using a variety of materials, students have been constructing their own 3D models, helping them understand the properties of these shapes—such as faces, edges, and vertices—in a fun and engaging way.
This focus on 3D shapes has not only strengthened students' spatial awareness and problem-solving skills but has also encouraged teamwork and imaginative thinking. The Year 5s have shown great enthusiasm and curiosity! It’s been an exciting journey into the world of geometry, and their hard work is on full display in the colourful creations decorating the classroom!
