Year 8

Hollows/Flynn Book Week Celebration

This term, Year 8s participated in celebrating Hollows and Flynn Day, in conjunction with Book Week and Wear it Purple Day. It was fabulous to see everyone dressed up and celebrating the culture of our school!

Make Bullying History Presentation

In Week 9, Year 8s were lucky to listen to a presentation from Brett Murray, Australian of the Year Nominee, former State Champion Boxer and State level competitor of five different sporting disciplines. Brett draws on his life experience to help deliver the Make Bullying History program, which aims to reduce rates of bullying incidents and increase the feeling of safety within the school community.

Bullying No Way Week – Together we grow

This presentation continued the learnings from Bullying No Way week, where Year8s participated in a collaborative artwork, creating their personalized flower petal to represent their contribution to the shared school community, pictured above. These petals represent kindness, inclusion and belonging.

Term 3 Break

We wish all of our Year 8s and their loved ones an enjoyable, safe and restful term break. We look forward to seeing you again in Term 4.
