TFT Dance Nationals
A huge congratulations to our 50 students that competed in the TFT Dance Nationals on the Sunshine Coast. Students successfully made their way through two rounds of competitions to be eligible to attend. We are so proud of how our students represented Berwick College ensuring they adhered to the school’s values.
Students had a great time exploring Noosa during their downtime.
The trip gave students the opportunity to make friends with students from other year levels, build independence and confidence and extend their stage experience.
Nationals 2026 was our best one yet - coming home with one national title, two second places and one third place. With girls from years 7-12 having a blast in the beautiful Noosa sun. We had some beautiful beach walks, a hike to a lookout, and fun evenings at our accommodation. I enjoyed playing volleyball against the Year 9’s and games nights with the Year 11’s. The Sunshine Coast was a fun, and beautiful experience filled with bonding, dancing and fun nights.

Final VET Assessment Night
On Wednesday 9 September, our VET students had their final assessment night. This was our final school performance for our Year 12 students and for some of our VET 3/4 students. This time of year always brings back memories of our Year 12 students and their first BCDA auditions and all the fun experiences we’ve shared. We wish all our VET 3/4 students the best of luck as they start to prepare for their final performance exams early next term.
SIX the Musical Excursion
On Wednesday 16 September, the Year 7-9 Dance students enjoyed the live performance of 'Six the Musical' and had the opportunity to ask the cast questions about their thoughts and journey in the musical theatre industry. Everyone loved watching the cast performance.
My favourite part of the musical was the finale song and how we got to speak with the cast. They were inspiring and I am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to witness this show. My favourite character was Catherine Parr. Her vocals were insane, and she has inspired me to keep working harder in what I love.

I truly appreciated how much effort the cast put into all their vocals and moves; the experience overall was phenomenal. I think it was also very enlightening on what happened to the six wives.
