Year 5/6 Team Crowned State Champions for Tournament of Minds🏆

South Plympton students have achieved an outstanding result at the Tournament of Minds (TOM) State Finals, with a team of Year 5 and 6 students winning the Primary Division Language and Literature competition.

Held at Adelaide University on Sunday, the competition challenged students to demonstrate creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills. Over six weeks, the team worked on their Long-Term Challenge, Reels to Radio, developing an original solution and presenting it as a performance. On the day, they also successfully completed a Spontaneous Challenge that required them to think quickly and work together under pressure.

The result:

South Plympton finished ahead of 14 other schools to claim the state title. They have earned selection in the South Australian team and will travel to Darwin for the Tournament of Minds International Finals.

We congratulate the team on this remarkable success and wish them every success as they prepare to compete on the international stage.
