Year 10 Leadership & Service Camp
The Year 10 Camp provided students with a valuable opportunity to develop their leadership skills, explore their faith and serve others. One day at camp was 'Leadership Day' at AFL Max, where students heard from guest speakers Gemma Houghton, a Port Adelaide AFLW player, and Danny Morton, a former Port Adelaide Power player. Both speakers shared their experiences of leadership, resilience and faith, encouraging students to consider how they can positively influence those around them.
Students then put their learning into action through a day of service at Tumbelin Farm, a drug rehabilitation facility run by Baptist Care. This was followed by a cooking challenge that gave students an insight into the realities faced by people experiencing homelessness, as they worked within a limited budget to prepare a meal.
The camp concluded with a team challenge day, where students raced from West Beach to Somerton Park and completed a range of challenges along the way. The day provided a fun and practical opportunity to put their teamwork, communication, problem-solving and leadership skills into practice.
The camp offered a rich time of connection between the students, learning how to influence those around them and serve the communities they are a part.

Ignite Worship Night #2
What an incredible night of worship, prayer and testimony of God's goodness!
The entire evening was student-led and organised. Students planned games, small groups, worship, student testimonies, a delicious BBQ, dance party and finished with a powerful time of prayer for one another.
We thank God for what He's doing in our school community.
Emmaus Talent Quest Showcases Outstanding Student Talent
What an incredibly talented group of students we have at Emmaus!
On Monday, students from Years 7 to 12 took to the stage across all Secondary assemblies to compete in the Emmaus Talent Quest, earning valuable House points while sharing their gifts and passions with the school community.
The EPAC was filled with smiles, laughter and excitement as students showcased an impressive range of performances, including dances, original songs, duets and dramatic acts. The confidence, creativity and dedication displayed by every participant made for a truly memorable event.
We were blessed by the remarkable talents of all the students who entered and are incredibly proud of their willingness to step outside their comfort zones and perform in front of their peers.
Congratulations to all participants for sharing their talents and making this year's Emmaus Talent Quest such a wonderful success. 🎤✨
Book Week Author Visit & Parade
We had a wonderful Book Week in Secondary School!
Our week started with a visit from author Mike Lucas, who spoke to classes from Foundation to Year 9.
He gave many tips on writing, the most important being 'never give up!' and our students had a wonderful time listening to him read.
Our Look and Find competition was a big hit with approximately 515 students finding a hidden object and returning it to the library for a lucky dip prize. It was lovely to see some students who do not often come into the library and hopefully we gave a good impression of how much fun the library can be!
Our week finished with our dress up day and parade and there were many creative costumes on display.
We hope your child enjoyed Book Week 2026 as much as we did!
