Emmaus Music students perform for the local community on Flinders Street, Adelaide

Last week, 57 music students, along with Susie Pettitt and Ruby Zoontjens, headed to Flinders Street to perform at the annual "Tuesday on Flinders" concert.

Tuesday on Flinders is a popular, long-running free lunchtime concert series featuring short live music performances by a rotating selection of talented local artists and student ensembles.  

Annually, Emmaus Christian College perform at these concerts and each year we are welcomed with open arms by the community. 

We brought along three ensembles:

• Concert Band - directed by Susie Pettitt
• Woodwind Group - directed by Susie Pettitt  
• Vocal Ensemble - directed by Ruby Zoontjens. 

Following is a list of the musical offerings: 

The Concert Band performed 'Pink Panther', 'Earth, Wind & Fire Dance Mix', 'Sesame Street' and 'Buckjump'. 

The Woodwind Group performed 'Hedwig's Theme', 'Eye Of The Tiger', 'Buddy Bolden Blues' and 'You're A Mean One Mr Grinch'.

TheVocal Ensemble performed 'Weird World', 'Golden Hour' and 'Your Mind is on Vacation.' 

It was a wonderful concert, which was well received and our students performed to a very high standard. Congratulations to the students for doing so well, and for representing your school so beautifully. Thank you to the tutors and staff for making the concert possible.
