Emmaus and Kings launches new inter-college 'Una Fortes Cup' 

This year, Emmaus Christian College and Kings Baptist Grammar School launched the Una Fortes Cup, a new annual inter-school sporting competition designed to build friendships, sportsmanship and school pride. 

Named from the Latin phrase Una Fortes meaning "Stronger Together," the competition celebrates teamwork, effort, excellence, and community across both Winter and Summer sports.

On Friday Week 6, we took 60 students to complete in Round 1 held at Kings where students competed in Netball, AFL and Volleyball.

Current Cup Standings

Kings Baptist Grammar School - 29 points 

Emmaus Christian College -  25 points. 

While the results were encouraging, it was our students' attitude that stood out. Desptie facing strong opposition in AFL, both teams showed resilience, determination and excellent sportsmanship, continuing to give their best throughout every game. 

Round 2 and the deciding stage of the cup will be hosted by Emmaus in Week 4 of Term 4, where students will compete in Basketball, Soccer, and Badminton. Trials for teams will begin in the coming weeks. 

We are incredibly proud of the way our students represented Emmaus and look forward to hosting King's as we continue building strong connections through sport and community.
