Foundation

Literacy

In Literacy, we have been learning the sound-symbol correspondences for ‘oo’, ‘wh’, and ‘th’. We have also been learning that ‘oo’ can make two different sounds; /oo/ like in moon, and /oo/ like in look.

We have also been writing short sentences that include a mixture of words that we can sound out and tricky words.

For example:

  • The food is hot
  • I look at the big moon
  • I met you at the zoo
