Fitness Centre

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our fitness centre, a great addition to the College which is designed to elevate the health, performance, and wellbeing of our entire school community.

This facility serves to support our high-performance tennis program, providing student-athletes with access to strength and conditioning equipment that supports their training and injury prevention. Beyond elite sports, the fitness centre embodies our commitment to the Active Schools framework, promoting physical activity throughout the school day. It offers opportunities for all students to engage in physical education, active recreation, and extracurricular activities, fostering a culture of movement and wellbeing.

This initiative also strengthens our active school sponsorships, creating avenues for community engagement and support.

Our new fitness centre is more than just a facility; it's a hub for cultivating lifelong healthy habits, supporting athletic excellence, and building a vibrant, active community.

Call Push Shock

Our Year 8s participated in the Call Push Shock Initiative through Ambulance Victoria.  Students engaged in very hands-on workshop learning and practicing CPR.  Thanks to our School Nurse Jackie for conducting the sessions.

Raise Mentoring

For the last two terms we have partnered with the Raise Youth Mentoring Program and today we celebrated the conclusion of the program.  It has been a transformative initiative that our school has proudly participated in, aiming to support students in Years 7 to 9. Since its inception in 2008, Raise has been instrumental in fostering resilience, confidence, and a sense of connection among young people.

Through structured 20-week programs, students are paired with trained volunteer mentors from the local community. These one-on-one sessions, held weekly during school hours, provide a safe and supportive environment for students to explore topics such as building resilience, managing stress, and planning for the future. Each program is overseen by a qualified Program Counsellor, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the mentoring relationship.

The impact of the Raise program is significant. Evaluations have demonstrated improvements in students' help-seeking behaviours, school engagement, and overall mental health and wellbeing. By participating in this program, our school contributes to a broader effort to create thriving communities and empower young people to navigate adolescence with confidence and support.
