Intermediate Boys Soccer
The Intermediate Boys Soccer Team travelled to Darebin to compete at the State level, which is an outstanding achievement in itself. The boys faced extremely tough opposition, going up against schools with soccer academies, experienced coaches, and highly skilled players. Despite this challenge, they conducted themselves with great composure and determination, holding their own in every match.
Across the day, the team put in a strong, well-balanced effort, finishing with three narrow losses. Pat led proudly as captain, Zac scored a brilliant goal, and George was exceptional in goals, earning praise from both referees and opposition coaches.
The highlight of the day came when MMCRC was awarded the prestigious “Spirit of Sport Award”, presented to the team that displayed the greatest sportsmanship, attitude, and spirit. This recognition, voted on by referees and coaches, made us incredibly proud of the way the boys represented the school. A huge thank you to Mr Stein for driving the bus and supporting the team, and to Tony for his efforts as linesman.
Jaxon Blackman 8A
Jaxon represented Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College and the South East Zone at the 2025 Victorian State School Students Championships held at the Echuca Clay Target Club. After scoring 11/15 in the first round, he was tied for 4th place with three other competitors. He backed this up with another 11/15 in the second round, finishing 6th overall for Junior boys. We are very proud of Jaxon and his efforts too a sport in which he enjoys.
Year 10 P.E. Gym Experience
Miss Wrigley’s Year 10 P.E. class recently enjoyed a high-energy HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) session at DF Leongatha, where they were challenged with fun and engaging workouts that built strength and resilience. A big thank you to DF Leongatha for their warm hospitality, and especially to Sophie for being such a fantastic instructor and motivator. The session was a real highlight of the term! - Miss Wrigley, Health and Physical Education Teacher
