Acting Principal's Report

World Teacher's Day
Today we celebrate the amazing teachers at Clyde PS who inspire, support and empower our student community every day.
Thank you to all our teaching staff at Clyde Primary for the dedication you show our students and our community.
We acknowledge how hard you work, and your dedication to professional learning for self-improvement. Hat’s off to you!
Curriculum Days
The two curriculum days are implementing goals on the Clyde PS Annual Improvement Plan (AIP). Friday 31st October is focussed on Learning, and Monday the 3rd of November on Wellbeing.
Staff will be improving their assessment practices and be given time to collaborate with their teams. They will also continue to develop their understanding of the Disability Inclusion Program, learning about tiered adjustments and documentation in planners. Exploration of Version 2.0 of the curriculum will also be a feature of the days.
Introducing our new staff members
I am delighted to introduce myself as the classroom teacher for Foundation C for the rest of this term. My name is Miss Hamley, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be joining such a warm and supportive school community at Clyde Primary School.
I am deeply committed to fostering an environment where students feel confident, curious, and eager to learn. My teaching philosophy is centred around creating a space where every student is encouraged to explore and grow.
On a personal note, I have a strong passion for creativity, whether through drawing, colouring, or painting, and I look forward to sharing this with the students as we embark on an exciting term of learning.
I am excited to work with all of the wonderful students, staff, and families, and I am confident that Term 4 will be a memorable and enriching experience for everyone.
Hello! I’m Miss Campbell and I’m a graduate teacher starting my first teaching job in 3C for term 4, I’m so excited to be joining the team here and start the next chapter of my life.
In my free time I love going to concerts and spending time with my friends and family. I have a cat called Erika and I love everything Disney, especially Lilo and Stitch!
If you see me around don’t hesitate to say hello, I always love meeting new people.
Hi everyone! My name is Mrs. Haddad, and I’m really looking forward to joining the Year 6 team this term with the amazing class that is 6A. I have been teaching for around ten years and feel very lucky to do a job that keeps me laughing and learning every day. When I’m not at school, you’ll usually find me off on a school holiday or weekend adventure in our caravan with my husband, our two daughters (one in primary and one in secondary), and our very spoiled Cavoodle, Latté, who firmly believes he runs the family. I’m a big fan of live music, catching up with family and friends, and finding great places to eat out. I can’t wait to get to know all the wonderful students and families at Clyde Primary School.
Hello everyone! My name is Shannon and I'm excited to be joining the school administration team while Chloe is on Maternity leave. In my free time I'm kept busy with my two daughters. We love travelling to new places, shopping, finding great parks and going to the movies.
I'm really looking forward to being part of the school community and getting to know the Clyde Primary School students, families and staff.

NAPLAN
Clyde Primary School had some very pleasing results for NAPLAN in 2025! We are maintaining our positive trend for all our areas.
Our Tutor Learning initiative and NAPLAN sprint have set us up well to achieve these positive results. Participation rates remain high, and students have performed higher than similar school and very close to state scores.
Planning for 2026
Term 4 is always dominated with planning for the following year, class and staff selection, budgets, enrolments and more. Can families please let the office know if they are intending to leave our school at the end of the year, so we can finalise class structures, as finding staff is incredibly challenging at this time of year.
Remembrance Day
On the 11th of November, our school will commemorate Remembrance Day. This is the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice of 1918 that ended fighting in World War I. On this day, we will commemorate all who have died or suffered in wars, conflicts and peace operations.
Our students will participate in class learning experiences prior to the day, and we will be holding a service over the PA system from 10:50am on Remembrance Day.
Year 6 students will be selling poppies at the front of the office from Wednesday next week until the morning of Remembrance Day. You will also notice some poppies, made by our students, being displayed on our front fence on the day.
