SWPBS

Our fortnightly focus has been: Be an Actively Engaged Learner

  1. Listen with focus – show you’re paying attention by looking at the speaker (student or teacher), nodding, and not interrupting.

  2. Ask questions & Join in discussions – if you don’t understand, put your hand up and ask. Share your ideas, even if you’re not sure they’re right.

  3. Work hard in activities – try your best, follow instructions, and don’t give up easily.

  4. Help others – explain things to classmates if they’re stuck; teaching others helps you learn too.

  5. Use learning tools properly – e.g., books, iPads, pencils – for the task, not for playing.

  6. Reflect on your learning – think, “What did I do well today? What could I improve next time?”

In Summary:  “Being an active learner means listening, asking, joining in, trying your best, and thinking about your learning.”
