Footy Day
Today we celebrated footy day. Students got to wear their footy colours in any form, this was AFL, soccer or some wore a scarf, beanie, Jersey and even did some face painting. Everyone had at least 5 people in their line. We ran around the oval with our flags hoisted in the air, happy to celebrate our teams! Thanks to all the parents who stayed and enjoyed the parade.
Virgin Mary
Mary was a first-century Jewish woman of Nazareth, the wife of Joseph and the mother of Jesus. She is an important figure of Christianity, venerated under various titles such as virgin or queen. Her feast day is celebrated on September 8th. The Church has celebrated Mary's birth since at least the sixth century. Mother Mary is one person we would like to be like and follow in her footsteps. Mary had courage, compassion and love for everyone.
Our Lady’s Feast Day
Last Friday, our school celebrated Our Lady's feast day. We were split into our house colours and did lots of fun activities for the day. The activities we did were the disco, art, Kaboom, oval activities and we watched a show made with music such as rock, hip hop and others. We had an awesome time doing all the activities and celebrating the feast day of Our Mother. Then we had a Mass to celebrate our Mother Mary. We did these fun activities to celebrate our feast day, to honour who our school is named after, Mother Mary. Thanks to teachers, social justice team and the house captains for all your effort and hard work in providing us with a fun feast day!
