Learning Power Award Recipients

Congratulations to students who have been recognised by staff for their demonstration of one or many of the 6 Learning Powers celebrated at SMDP.

On Tuesday during our whole school assembly, the following students were acknowledged and their learning described so we all know why they are worthy recipients of our awards and applause.

Well done for being a motivated learner who is always eager to share his ideas during group time and help others in our classroom. You consistently display your best and a little bit more, especially during English and Math testing last week. Fantastic effort Luka!

For being a collaborative learner who thinks about the needs of others and is quick to include her peers.  Madison’s great attitude and positivity helps to make Prep N a happy and inclusive learning community.  Well done, Madison.

For being a motivated learner this week, particularly during writing lessons. You wrote a narrative with a sizzling start, and added engaging adjectives, making your writing exciting to read. Thank you for all of your efforts and for setting such a great example to others.

Mackenzie is eager to improve her writing as she spends ‘mindfulness’ time writing stories and creating books. For being a collaborative team leader, you all encouraged, supported and motivated your teams. The way you all helped with the sprint races and relays was so thoughtful and it made the day run so smooth. Thank you also for creating and performing the chants. You all made the athletics carnival something to remember.
