Wellbeing dogs
We have a very exciting announcement for you about our Wellbeing Dogs. The countdown has been happening for Alfie’s official start early next term.
But is one wellbeing dog going to be enough? We say no! So, next term we will have two Golden Retriever wellbeing dogs, Miss Kristen’s dog, Alfie – 18 months and Miss Caroline’s dog, Coco – 7 months. These dogs are an important part of Miss Caroline’s Inclusion support role and Miss Kristen’s Wellbeing role.
You should have seen the Families Dog checklist sent home in school bags this week asking families for information about their experiences with dogs. Please ensure these are sent back to school by Monday, Week 1 Term 2. This will allow us to be aware of the range of considerations that we need to make so that our work is inclusive and successful.
