PFA update
Annalie Darlington
Hello everyone,
It has been another busy term for the PFA, selling icy poles, running the second-hand uniform shop, delivering hot cross buns, and selling Easter raffle tickets. We have also run the Boo Hoo Woo Hoo Prep event, a Welcome Picnic and the amazing Colour Run. We thrive on being busy, so next term looks set to be equally as busy and as fun.
An especially big thank you to everyone involved with making the Colour Run happen! This is a favourite on the calendar for the kids and everyone’s contribution, big or small, added up to a successful event!
We were very lucky with the weather and the relaxed en-masse picnic was enjoyed by all, helped by the BBQ and a few tunes. Lots of running around for the kids - and all with a side of colour!
The event raised approx. $3k, which will go towards supporting the Masterclass and improving some of the workroom spaces. House points have been awarded to all volunteers, thanks again. A special thanks to Michelle, Zoe and Kristen for running this event and the BBQ. You guys put a great deal of time into this event and it is very much appreciated.
The PFA AGM was on Thursday last week and Kate Esam was elected to the role of President. Kate has two children at PMPS; Jim is in Grade 4 and Lacey is in Grade 3. Kate lives and works locally and has been a passionate PFA member since Jim was in Prep in 2020. They are big shoes to fill following on from Annalie as President, but Kate is hopeful with the help and support from the school community, it will be a great year ahead!
Kate will be supported by Kate Ross as Vice President and Amy Price stepped into the role of Secretary. Annalie Darlington has retired as the PFA President, after four years in this role. Annalie will continue to support the PFA in a shared Treasurer Role with Mia Kronborg. Thanks to exiting PFA leaders namely, Jo (Secretary), Victoria (Vice President), Michelle (Treasurer) and Annalie (President). Thanks for all your time, commitment and energy!
If you are interested in getting involved, please come along to our PFA coffee morning, on Wednesday 17 April (meet at Miss Molly's cart) or let us know via our PFA interest form
This week has been all about the Easter Raffle and Hot Cross Bun Day. Thanks so much to Asha for leading both of these events. Delivering over 400 hot cross buns and around 200 raffle prizes to classes is quite the challenge!
The Fete planning starts very early. If you are interested in getting involved or have an idea you would like to suggest and help run, please email the PFA at pmpsparentsandfriends@gmail.com

It’s that time of year again ladies!!!
Some of you may have heard that the event will look a bit different this year due to The Waterfront going into liquidation. Now that we have our heads around it, we’re really excited about the changes.
We are also really keen to raise as much money as we can for the school, to make up for the lost deposit.
We will be running a raffle and lucky dip as per previous years, so if you have any leads or donations, they will be gratefully received- please email: kate_esam@outlook.com
Details:
Main event - Cocktail Style: $125, 3hr Canapés & Drink package (12-3pm)
Entertainment – Band and DJ until 8pm
There is also a greater capacity so less ticket stress - woo!
We still recommend putting money in your “Wallet” on the Parent Portal before tickets go on sale.
All proceeds from this event will go to Port Melbourne Primary School.
We hope to see you there supporting the school and enjoying this fabulous event!
